Submission Declaration and Verification
The Submission of a manuscript implies that the work described has not been publicly published previously, neither is under consideration for publication elsewhere, and that its publication is approved by all authors and tacitly or explicitly by the responsible authorities where the work was carried out. To verify originality, your article may be checked by the originality detection software iThenticate.
The copyright for any material created by the Science and Education Centre of North America is reserved. Any duplication or use of objects such as images, diagrams, sounds, videos or texts in other electronic or printed publications including in the same form, in English or in any other languages is not permitted without the prior written consent of the Science and Education Centre of North America.
This does not apply for the Journal of Tourism and Recreation. The submission of a manuscript to this journal implies that, if and when the manuscript is accepted for publication by the journal, the authors agree to automatic transfer of the first publication rights to the journal/publisher, and permit the journal/publisher to apply a DOI to their articles and to archive them in databases and indexes. Copyrights for articles are retained by the authors. Authors have rights to reuse, republish, archive, and distribute their own articles after publication. The journal/publisher is not responsible for subsequent uses of the work. All open-access articles published in the Journal of Tourism and Recreation are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.
Where material is taken from other sources (including their own published writing) the source is clearly cited and that where appropriate permission must be obtained. It is the responsibility of the authors, not the journal/publisher or the editors or reviewers, to ensure that proper attribution is given to material. If suspicion is raised about the originality of the material (unattributed to source), the Editorial Office may check the manuscript for plagiarism. Please click here for more details of journal's Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement.
The publisher and journal have a policy of "Zero Tolerance on the Plagiarism". We check the plagiarism issue through two methods: reviewer check and plagiarism prevention tool (ithenticate.com).
All submissions will be checked by iThenticate before being sent to reviewers.
